Performance History

Cylab utilizes a strategic approach for effectively consolidating multiple systems, creating innovative architectural concepts in system implementation, and producing new technologies and architectures to meet client requirements.  We support the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Systems Management Center through providing system administration, database administration, and 24/7 helpdesk services for a geographically dispersed customer base for the applications, databases, servers, and systems that it maintains.

Cylab employs best practices for this engagement, such as IT Service Management (ITSM), based on the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.  Database administration support has included providing technical guidance to resolve operational and production issues, including hands-on support of the systems and on-the-job training of Government personnel (knowledge transfer). 

Cylab sustains and supports the Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) which includes consulting support to ensure Oracle Database systems are kept current with patches to support security implementations as directed by Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and resolution of any other technical issues that may arise. Cylab utilizes ITSM/ITIL and Help Desk Industry Best Practices to provide 24/7 Service Desk Support.  Our technicians monitor systems, reset user account passwords or other general first call resolution items, and work with the level 3 system administrators to escalate unresolved issues. 

Cylab also provides system analysis and design support leading to the formulation of system architecture. Analysis functions address architectural features associated with performance, development, maintenance, and disaster recovery issues.
